Gemstone

A new type of blank used at Sanderson Pens and Turnings are gemstone. These are made up of approximately 85% natural stone ore. The ore is then pigmented, compressed into blocks and impregnated with approximately 15% acrylic gem resin. It is difficult material to work withnbut these blanks create a stunning pen. Macro Molecular Metal

The most recent pen blank is M3. M3 (short for “Macro Molecular Metal”) is a new composite material which is made with up to 95% of real metal that has been atomized down to the molecular level and combined with special chemical binders.
M3 is an exciting new space age material that is just now being recognized for its remarkable beauty, strength and futuristic properties. It is difficult to work with but makes a striking pen. Some of the blanks available are
